Getting low at high noon

Spent high noon at the lowest altitude in the USA. 282 feet below sea level. Badwater, Death Valley. The concept of dry land being under sea level just doesn’t make sense to this non-scientific brain. Oh well- it was cool (a balmy 99 degrees) and I got to share it with a couple of tour buses filled with German adventurers.
